THE STORY OF DAWN AND HYUNA

Hyuna and Dawn are the iconic couple of the K-Pop industry but also one of the most rare, because if you don't know romantic relationships in this industry are not accepted by fans. Every suspicion or announcement of a relationship creates a huge scandal that can lead artists to downfall, forcing them to choose between their career and their relationships, and often their career wins. That is why the couple Hyuna and Dawn is so well known, because they did not make a choice, they combined their relationships and careers and actually made it a strength.

Their relationship started in 2016, they met at the Cube Entertainment offices a year earlier when Dawn was still a trainee, and like all couples in this industry they tried to hide their relationship but things did not go as planned. But how did they get there?

Today everyone knows Hyuna and Dawn as a couple, when one of them is invited to a show they are asked about the other, even though they are not a duo and are solo artists. But before being a couple and solo artists they were in K-pop groups.

Dawn is a composer, lyricist, singer, rapper, and choreographer, he debuted in 2016 with the KPOP group Pentagon which is managed by Cube Entertainment.

Hyuna, on the other hand, debuted much earlier, in 2007 with the group Wonder Girls which was very successful, then she left the group and also her agency to join the Cube Entertainment label and joined the group 4Minute in 2008 which she left in 2016.

In 2017 she and Dawn were brought together to form a group called TRIPLE H with another Pentagon member, Hui, but unfortunately it was not a good idea for their couple, which they had been trying to hide for over a year. That is when rumors about their relationship started to circulate, and it became impossible to hide.

Indeed, during performances their closeness displeased fans greatly, and they ended up announcing their relationship publicly to put an end to the rumors, unfortunately this caused more problems than it solved. First, it led to a war between international fans and Korean fans, then their label's stock plummeted, it also ended the group Triple H, and many Pentagon fans asked for refunds for their concert tickets.

Dawn and Hyuna ended up leaving the label and at the same time, they took a break from their careers. It was only in 2019 that they joined the P. Nation label of the famous singer PSY and resumed their activities. Hyuna released the song "Flower Shower" and Dawn the song "Money". Then a little later the couple released an album together, a first in K-pop history, and the album was very well received by the public.

What is the couple doing today?

Today they focus on their solo careers, thanks to their agency they can assert their styles and show themselves as they are. You can see in their music videos that they are in their element and love what they do. Regarding their relationship, judging by their photos they seem very happy and fulfilled and good news for fans, the couple got engaged a few months ago, now we are waiting for the wedding!
