BTS: what makes them unique?

This South Korean group can boast hundreds of millions of listens on various specialized platforms. Regarding their uniqueness, it should first be said that they are a group that relates daily realities and societal problems in their songs. Another particularity of BTS is their ability to adopt several music styles, and it must be said that this suits them well. Their commitment through their music has even earned them positions as cultural ambassadors and actors in humanitarian actions, including collaborations with UNICEF and the UN. Proof of this is the speech by the group's leader at a general assembly held in New York where he addressed the importance of self-acceptance.

Moreover, each member of the group has their own specialties, which makes the group even more special; some specialize in dance, singing, or rap, while others develop skills in writing or music composition. Some predict that at this rate they will eventually seek independence, which would not be without impact on KPOP.

The last particularity of the group we address is their songwriting. As you know, most groups under the KPOP label follow a dynamic dictated by the label's leaders. Thus, boy bands and girl bands must stay within the limits set by the label, the main one being to remain within the Korean wave. This has earned them the reputation of a label that produces quality artists.

Thus, for several years now, BTS has had the freedom to write some of their songs, which has allowed them to express themselves and comment on topics that could not be addressed by the group in the past. All these particularities contribute to the worldwide success the group currently enjoys.
