Huening Kai is the third member of TXT to be revealed by Big Hit (January 16, 2019) and he is also the maknae (the youngest member) of the group!
He seems to come from a very musical family and has two sisters.
As the baby of the group, it is not surprising that he is said to bring a "refreshing and innocent charm" to the group. As a Korean-American, he is also the first international artist of Big Hit!
He revealed that his mother is Korean and his father is American. His family then moved to China where his father became a singer. Eventually, Huening Kai moved to Korea with his mother, where he decided to dedicate himself to music. He can speak Mandarin, English, Portuguese, and Korean.
Huening Kai is already making a good impression as the maknae of the group and behaves like an adorable little child on their social media. He might also be the king of the group's "memes," with fans using his videos for fun.
Huening Kai also revealed that he is able to play several instruments and learns them easily, including piano, guitar, and drums. His weak point is his lack of flexibility and he says he has wooden legs.
Among the members, he is particularly close to the group's leader, Soobin. He also likes jelly snacks, skinship, and drawing in Hangul.
Although he is the baby of the group, he has often shown that he is very brave. Whether it is speaking for the rest of the group when they are emotional or saving them from insects, sometimes it feels like he is the one taking care of the others. But there is one thing he is not a fan of: roller coasters!
