Changbin was born in Yongin, South Korea and grew up alongside his big sister . His dream has always been to become a singer , more specifically since his school 's talent show , he says that's since that day he wants to become a singer because he liked the reaction of the public very much when he rapped . and danced .

Later in 2016 he joined JYP Entertainment at the same time as Hyunjin , he was a trainee for two years before starting in the group Stray Kids . When Changbin was accepted to JYP his parents were overjoyed, they even said that they should have made him make music much earlier. Changbin said they were as happy as if he had been accepted into a university.

Before debuting, like the other members of the group, he participated in the show Stray Kids and he says that this show allowed them all to improve.

There are several subunits in their group and Changbin is part of one of them, the subunit is named " 3RACHA " and is composed of three members: Bang Chan , Han and Changbin himself, the trio is in charge of composing and writing for the group.

Changbin is the main rapper of the group and he impressed many with his rapping skills , Woojin (former member) was very surprised the first time he heard Changnin's rap .
