ALL ABOUT KPOP MAMAMOO GROUP

The K-pop group Mamamoo is a girl band composed of four members : Solar, Hwasa, Moon Byul , and Wheein , formed by the label Rainbowbridge World (RBW) and their fandom is called " MooMoo ". They debuted on June 18 , 2014 with the song " Mr. Ambiguous ", but before their debut they had already released three singles " Don't Be Happy ", " Peppermint Chocolate " and " Heeheehaheho", in collaboration with other artists.

Unfortunately, not many people in the K-pop industry believed in their achievements , for several reasons, but the main reason was their looks because compared to other girl bands they are small , and it was also mentioned that the looks of one of the members, Hwasa , could be a problem.

However, the group was able to stand out and make their way to success and fame. It is in particular two of their songs that propelled them to the front of the stage and made them known internationally , the titles in question are " Egostic " and " Starry Night " which were released in 2018.

After that, all their musical projects were a big success , the image of the group also changed little by little, they managed to find their style and integrate it into their music.

But in parallel with the group, the members also carried out solo projects, first there was Solar with his title " Spit It Out ", then Hwasa with " Maria " which had a lot of success, Moon Byul with " Eclipse ” and Wheein with “ Watercolor ”.

They didn't stop there, since they continued solo projects , the most recent are: Solar with her first mini-album "FACE" , Wheein with "Whee" and Moon Byul with "6equence".

Even though the members are very active in their solo projects, this is not the case for the group projects, because unfortunately since their mini-album titled "WAW" released in 2021 they have not released other albums . Solar even said in an interview recently that the group has nothing planned for this year 2022, at least for now.

Solar, (Kim Yong Seon) , of Korean nationality, is the oldest of the group but also the leader. She was born on February 21, 1991, she is 31 years old today. She is also the main singer due to her voice which is very powerful. As we have seen previously, in addition to being part of the K-pop group Mamamoo , she is also a solo artist and she has carried out several musical projects in collaboration with other artists . Hwasa (An Hye Jin) , 26 , born on July 23, 1995, is the youngest of the group.
