KARD is a co-ed group created by DSP Media in 2016. It consists of two female members Somin and Jiwoo and two male members J.Seph and BM Somin debuted in the 5-member group Puretty before joining the new group feminine by DSP April. She eventually left April in November 2015. J-Seph and BM were supposed to debut as a hip-hop duo but their agency decided they would join KARD instead. Jiwoo was a trainee at FNC Entertainment – a group that includes groups like FT Island, CN Blue, AOA, SF9 and Cherry Bullet – but she decided to leave the agency and debut at DSP. KARD released their first mini album titled Hola Hola on July 19, 2017, consisting of the song of the same title.
