Koreans oppose BTS's military service exemption

Summary

Speaking about the future of the industry, that of the BTS members is still as uncertain.

As a reminder, in South Korea military service is still mandatory. And this year is when Jin is supposed to enlist. The situation is stirring curiosity among fans as well as Koreans, who wonder if the members will actually do their service or not.

Because right now, the National Assembly is revising the military service law.
The idea would be to exempt artists who have a strong positive impact on the country.

It is on this subject that the HYBE communications director spoke during THE CITY press conference in Las Vegas.
He states that the members have decided to leave the enlistment issue in the hands of the agency. While specifying that if they have to do their civic duty, they will.

Unfortunately, it seems that Korean public opinion is turning its back on the idols. Indeed, many netizens claim that the members do not want to serve their country and hide behind the excuse of leaving the management of military service to the label. Fully aware that Hybe will do everything possible to exempt them.

What seems to disappoint Korean citizens is the fact that the members had always assured they would do their duty by enlisting when the time came. But now, they seem to want to avoid this duty.
Some share Suga's lyrics from the mixtape D-2 as evidence.

But it was on April 12 that Korean citizens seemed to have definitively condemned the exemption of the boys from military service

Indeed, the government announced it might make a decision on the matter by the end of the month.
This surprised the entire Korea given the speed with which the authorities handled the case.

But it was discovered that a retired executive from the Blue House was invited to the label.

It was also discovered that this same government member was offered a high position within HYBE. Suspicions of corruption quickly spread among netizens.

And the fact that the government is addressing the issue so quickly and so suddenly would be proof that Hybe is indeed corrupting the Blue House to obtain an exemption
