KARD is a mixed group created by DSP Media in 2016. It consists of two female members, Somin and Jiwoo, and two male members, J.Seph and B.M. Somin debuted in the 5-member group Puretty before joining DSP's new girl group April. She eventually left April in November 2015. J-Seph and B.M were supposed to debut as a Hip-Hop duo, but their agency decided they would join KARD instead. Jiwoo was a trainee at FNC Entertainment—a company that manages groups like F.T. Island, C.N. Blue, AOA, SF9, and Cherry Bullet—but she decided to leave the agency and debut at DSP. KARD released their first mini-album titled Hola Hola on July 19, 2017, which includes the title track of the same name.
