The official BTS Lightstick (ver. 3) was introduced when the teasers were released on July 5, 2018. It was officially released on July 27, 2018. Like the previous version, it can be controlled by a central hub via Bluetooth connection during BTS concerts. Furthermore, it can also be controlled via a special app available on the App Store for iPhone and Google Play for Android smartphones. The item was designed, manufactured and distributed by Compact.D company of South Korea and has been officially licensed by Big Hit Entertainment. The Lightstick model number (ver.3) is BTS×Official 7118G.
This version was first included in the BTS World Tour: Love Yourself merchandise collection. You can also get it during the BTS World Tour: Love Yourself: Speak Yourself.
The Lightstick is almost identical to the previous one, except for the silver details on the handle which have disappeared. BTS and ARMY logos. are now white.
The third version can work for 5 hours and requires 3 AAA batteries . It can operate in five modes: keep, slow, quick, flash and dimming. It can emit any color of light across the spectrum. The brightness of the light may be weakened and may shine red if the batteries have run out of power.
The Lightstick can be controlled at concerts to allow special light effects and color changes . To do this, simply pair the light stick with your seat at the concert venue, either using the app or by going to a special booth on site. For this to work, the Lightstick must be put into " Bluetooth mode " using the "power on" switch and the venue of the concert and the exact seat number must be entered via the app. There may be Bluetooth connection issues with Galaxy S10e, S10, S10+. Please note that the first and second version of the Lightstick do not have the pairing function.
The size of the third version of ARMY Bomb is 98 x 98 x 224, so it is smaller than both version 1 and 2. It is made of ABS, PC and silicone and weighs about 150g.
In the package you will find, in addition to the Lightstick, a strap (hand strap), a non-woven bag, a user manual. For the first time, a set of 7 mini photocards is also included.
