The official Ateez Lightstick was announced on their social accounts on January 16, 2020. It was available for pre-order from January 22, 2020 and finally went on sale early next month on February 3, 2020. The Lightstick was in sale at the location of two concerts in Seoul which took place at the Olympic Hall on February 8 and 9, 2020 as part of the group's second world tour entitled The Fellowship: Map The Treasure. The Ateez Lightstick was originally priced at KRW 33,000. Initially, it was sold out in South Korean stores in just 2 hours and in 10 hours in all other stores. The item was made in China by a company called Compact.D which was also responsible for the merchandise of other KPop artists. This is an official KQ Entertainment collectible.

The Ateez Lightstick was created based on a fan's drawing that won the open contest held in July 2019. The contest ran for 16 days between July 8 and July 22, 2019. The object has a round head in the shape of a globe with a visible outline of the continents and a compass needle inside that looks like an hourglass. On the half arch, you will see a phrase "8 MAKES 1 TEAM" and the start date of the Ateez in the form of geographical coordinates 18°10'24" (October 24, 2018). On a black handle, you will find a button in keyhole shape and the band's logo. There is a compass at the bottom of the handle. The light stick comes in a beautiful black box that looks like a treasure chest. On the box you will find the names of all the members and some information about the product.A wrist strap and a user manual are added in the package.

The official name of the Ateez Lightstick is LIGHTINY , which is a combination of two words: "Light" and "Destiny".

The object can operate in five different modes, including "On", "Blink", "Flicker" and two special modes "Red Aurora" and "Green Aurora". It needs 3 AAA alkaline batteries to operate. They are not included in the package. The lightstick can be controlled wirelessly via the central control mode on location during concerts. This makes it possible to create amazing light effects based on songs currently being sung by Ateez . The product weighs about 180g and is made of PC, ABS and rubber. Its dimensions are 100 x 113 x 256 mm.

KQ Entertainment released the Lightstick Ateez ahead of the band's second The Fellowship: Treasure Map world tour. The members have performed 18 times in concert in Asia (Seoul and Japan), Europe (Madrid, Paris, London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Warsaw and Moscow) and North America (Newark, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas and Los Angeles). The tour will conclude at the Forum in Los Angeles on April 26, 2020. Besides the Lightstick, Ateez has prepared a number of other collectibles for its fans who plan to attend the events. The Soul Concert merchandise list includes items such as the Official Reflection Suede Slogan, a set of 10 mini posters (210 x 297 mm), a set of 8 photos featuring a member on each (102 x 152 mm), 8 different types of metal key chains, metal brooch with three different charms, card holder and lanyard in one set, passport holder, black shopping bag, square bandana (540 x 540 mm) , a gray prom cap and a black cotton hoodie.

This isn't the first time that Ateez has released a Lightstick. In January 2019, the band returned with Treasure Ep. 2: Zero To One. A special showcase was organized on the occasion of the release of the album. The event took place at YES24 Live Hall in Seoul on January 16, 2019. The group prepared a selection of 3 items for fans who attended the showcase. Among the items that included a set of 9 posters and a key ring was a much simpler acrylic Ateez Lightstick than this one, with a round head bearing the band's logo on a compass and a small orange compass on the handle.
