The Stray Kids are a South Korean boy band from JYP Entertainment that made their official debut in March 2018. The group consists of nine trainees from the agency and participated in the show of the same name in collaboration with the MNet channel, the show was broadcast from October 17 to December 19, 2017 and aimed to see if our little trainees had the stuff to start. But first, let's talk about the members
The Stray Kids group was formed through a Korean show and currently consists of 9 Members :
- Bang Chan , whose real name is Christopher Bang, was born on October 3, 1997 in Sydney, Australia, where he grew up. He is the leader of the group . He is on vocals , rap , composition , production and is even a lyricist . In short, he is an absolutely complete artist.
A few trivia about him: he appeared in Twice's Like Ooh Ahh MV as well as Miss A's Only You. He trained with GOT7 members Twice and DAY6 . He was a trainee for seven years at JYP. The members call him Kangaroo , due to his Australian origins, and he can speak English, Korean and Japanese.
- Kim Woo Jin (ex-Stray Kids member) was born on April 8, 1997 in South Korea, was the lead singer of the group.
- Lee Know , real name Lee Min-ho , like the Korean actor and moreover, it's because he has a fairly common name that he chose this nickname. He was born on October 25, 1998 in South Korea. He is the main dancer , but also on vocals and rap. You should know that he was eliminated during the show, but that he finally had a second chance from the agency in the last episode, phew!
- Chang Bin , whose real name is Seo Chang Bin , was born on August 11, 1999 in South Korea. He's the main rapper , but he's also a lyricist and songwriter . His role model in the song is G-Dragon.
- Hyun Jin , real name Hwang Hyunjin , was born on March 20, 2000 in South Korea. He is the main dancer , the visual of the group . Besides, he's the tallest he's 1m79 and he's also into rap . He has a little dog called Kami.
- Han , whose real name is Han Ji Sung , was born on September 14, 2000 in South Korea. He's the secondary rapper in the band , but he's also on vocals , lyrics and songwriting . You should know that he studied in Malaysia and that his role model is Zico Des Block B.
- Felix , real name Felix Lee or Korean name Lee Yong-bok . But you should know that he hates being called by his Korean name. He was born on September 15, 2000 in Sydney. He grew up there, even though both his parents are Korean. You should know that he arrived quite recently in South Korea , apparently in February 2017, and suddenly he has a little trouble with the language . Fortunately, he has Changbin who really help him adapt to Korean culture . He's the secondary dancer . He is also a rapper , just like Lee Know. He was eliminated on the show, but was drafted on the final episode. Phew!
Like our leader, like he's from Australia. The other members call him Koala and we can say that he is the cry baby of the group because he cries a lot this little cabbage. And when he's eliminated in Episode 9. But that's way too awful.
- Seung Min whose real name is Kim Seung Min was born on September 22, 2000 in South Korea. He is the secondary vocalist of the band . Its models are the DAY6, Kim Dong Ryul, Bronchioles and San Deul. What's quite funny is that her room is always clean and tidy. He never wants the members to sit on his bed because he might undo it. But he's a little bit manic, this little
- And finally IN , whose real name is Yang Jeong In , was born in South Korea on February 8, 2001. He is the Maknae of the group and he is on vocals. You should know that his role model is Bruno Mars and that he is the member who takes the longest to learn the choreographies because he is a hyper perfectionist.
The Survivol Show therefore started on October 17, 2017 and was composed of 5 missions:
- The first mission given to the group was to compose and interpret a new song . And it was in this first mission that Hellevator , the single of their pre-debut, was born.
- The second mission was to create a song by group of three , knowing that in each group, a member could be in danger. It was on this occasion that Lee Know was unfortunately eliminated.
- The third mission was a confrontation with the trainees of JYP Entertainment and this time no member was eliminated.
- And the fourth mission is a mini concert . And you should know that it was this mission that marked the members the most because it was the first time that they were really in contact with the public in the street. Because actually they had to perform songs right on the streets of Seoul.
- And finally, the fifth mission which closes the show on December 19, 2017, consisted of a live performance of five songs . Knowing that the JYP decides to reinstate the two previously eliminated members and that it is therefore to participate, to sing three of the five songs and at the end of the episode, the JYP announces that the two eliminated members, Lee Know and Felix, will be able to rejoin the group and that they will therefore be able to start at 9. Thank you!
The group will therefore officially debut on March 26, 2018 with the release of their mini album I am Not , since the Stray Kids are hyper active. They release 2-3 MVs per month. I don't know how they do it. I really wonder if they sleep at night.
